I recently submmited a new media player gadget to desktopgadgets.com. It was made to match my Arrow WindowBlinds skin or any Aero style desktop. I thought I'd bring it to the attention of those here who don't check there regularly. ;)

So, Episode 3 has been out for about a week now, and while I intend to see it in the theater a second time, I don't recall a certain question being answered. There may have been brief mention of it, but I'll have to see it again to find out if I overlooked something. The question is this. Who commissioned the creation of the clone army?

In Epidose 2, the cloners on Kamino informed Obi-Wan that Jedi Master Sifo-Dyas had requested the clone army and asked if he was still a member of the Jedi Council. Obi-Wan says that Sifo-Dyas was killed 10 years prior, which was the time of Episode 1. Jango Fett, who served as the template for the clones, tells Obi-Wan that he was hired by Tyrannus (Count Dooku's Sith name). There's the back story as I remember it.

So who was Sifo-Dyas and did he really commission the clone army? Was it Dooku or Palpatine impersonating him? If not, what was his motivation? Was he in league with the Sith? Was he an unsuspecting victim of a Sith plot? It's clear that Palpatine and Dooku were aware of the clones and that they were part of the master plan, but exactly how they came to be is still a mystery to me. Episode 3 answered most of my questions, but this one is still puzzling.

It has been brought to my attention that a company called Almediadev http://www.almdev.com/ has ported many of our WB skins to their format and is distributing them with their product. They sell VCL libraries that allow software developers to make their applications skinnable. Below is a list of the skins they distribute.

I am emailing them now, asking them to stop distributing my skin. I also have contact information for their ISP, in case it comes to that. I just wanted to let the skin authors know about this.

He has done it again. Many of these bitmaps are clearly adni18's. http://www.wincustomize.com/skins.asp?library=1&SkinID=2643 Most of them are from his Ambient skin, again. This time, even the name of the skin is stolen from one of adni's, with the exception of one letter.

I suspect that Arcila does not fully understand the rules.

I was just changing the icons for some of my most used programs, and I realized there are no full size, 32-bit XP icons for Stardock products. I'd love to have some nice XP icons for SkinStudio, WindowFX, SkinBrowser, ObjectBar, DesktopX, IconPackager, Component Manager, etc. Anyone else? Maybe the folks at Stardock have already been thinking about this. They're usually one step ahead of me (at least).

I don't have a problem that needs solving, or a complaint. I am happy.

For anyone who is new here, stick around, most of us are happy. I'm just spreading some sunshine.

I've read past posts regarding people not seeing their skins in the listings, but I'm still not sure why I don't see mine.

I posted a PocketBlinds skin last week, and it did indeed get added to the site, but I can't see it when I go to the library. If I look at "My Skins", I see it there, and I see it is being downloaded. Also, if I go to the PB library and do a search for it, it shows up. Oh yeah, the skin is called "WMP". It's a Windows Media Player 8 rip-off.

Also, I have noticed that the PB library shows a count of 30 skins. However when I go there, I count 32, not including my WMP skin that I can't see, which would make 33.

I did look at my account settings and I have no option for showing skins based on rating.

I just updated my PocketBlinds skin and when I submitted it, my skin disappeard from the list. Now, when I go to My Skins it isn't there either. Is this normal, or should I repost it?
